Weekends are for going out with friends, eating at a new restaurant, and exploring new places. I was an adventurous person pre-pandemic. I couldn’t stay at home and do anything for the rest of the day! It was like the world was calling me to discover hidden gems and interact with interesting people. When the news started to announce the growing cases of COVID-19, it had affected my weekend getaways.

Now, I could still meet with my friends but in a limited way. Unlike before the pandemic, we could go out every other weekend. For this reason, there were many Saturdays and Sundays I spent at home feeling trapped. I sometimes even look at the window and wish I could fly while disregarding all the restrictions.

In one of our virtual meet-ups, one of my friends told me to try participating in the best survey sites in Singapore to pass the time during the weekends. On top of this, it was a paid online survey.

At first, I thought it was too good to be true. Can you earn money by only answering surveys?  Fortunately, my friend stood as a living testimony that the survey site was indeed beneficial.

Planning to Participate in Online Surveys

With the proven benefits of online surveys for money, I decided to sign-up immediately and answer survey questions about the emerging social issues in Singapore. The registration process was also convenient!  After securing my identity with verification IDs, the survey site allowed me to continue the registration. I was in bed wearing my pyjamas, laptop on my lap, and that was it! I could answer the paid online survey anytime I wanted.  However, before answering the survey, there were some things I considered to make my answers impactful.

How I Prepared for the Online Survey

Although it was easy to join the best survey sites, I needed to be responsible for my answers because it can impact the emerging social issues in Singapore. I didn’t want to put an answer that sounded insincere because, after all, it was online surveys for money. The survey site trusted me to give honest answers. Hence, they gave participants rewards and prizes.

So, here’s how I prepared for the online survey:

1.Read the Questions Carefully

As much as possible, I read the questions twice or even thrice to get the idea of their purpose. For instance, I answered a question about mental health among Singaporean youth. Since mental health was something new to me, I wanted to understand the concept of the questions and the choices. This way, I could give an answer that helped improve the emerging social issues in Singapore.

I also used the “other” option to give my opinion if there were no options for my original answer. With an honest attitude towards the survey, I could feel more worthy of the money I received from them.

2.Observe My Netiquette

Netiquette is a combination of two words, net and etiquette. It is a measurement of politeness when communicating with other online users. Since the paid online surveys were virtual, I observed that way I interacted with other participants. If there were chances that we could talk, I used decent words when addressing other people.

Even though I couldn’t see them, it was still my duty to make them feel comfortable and safe in the virtual world. Online surveys are for different opinions. As an observer of netiquette, I agree to disagree with multiple views from other people. Yes, even if I disagreed with their beliefs, I still respected why they came up with that conclusion.

3.Comply with the Rules

To be a better participant, I read the rules of the best survey sites in Singapore. It included the punctuality of time when the survey started, confidentiality, and other policies. For this reason, it made my experience with online surveys more convenient. It also helped me avoid problems along the way for my survey journey.

On top of this, complying with the rules helped me gain the money I deserved from the online paid survey. Since I followed their rules, I earned the money fair and square. Plus, it helped me avoid feeling bored at home during the weekends.

4.Prepare My Laptop and Internet

It was also helpful to prepare my laptop and internet before participating in the online surveys for money. If indeed, my laptop system crashed, the link of my online survey would reset. It means I need to answer again and waste time reading the questions for the second time. For this reason,  I made sure that my laptop and internet connection was working before proceeding with the survey.

5.Anticipate for the Rewards and Prize

Lastly, it was an exciting process when anticipating the prize and rewards after participating in the paid online survey. With this, I prepared the necessary channels to retrieve the money for my efforts.

The time with Happydot.sg was fulfilling! Answering their paid online survey at their website about the emerging social issues in Singapore felt meaningful. Plus, I get paid for money and initiate change.
