I have always wanted to take swimming lessons. These are necessary for me to survive being in the water. I am not really a big fan of water activities. Thus, it takes me awhile to learn each stroke. I need a lot of practice and determination to swim correctly. I heard of Hougang swimming lessons that I can take. Since I live near that place, I find it convenient to learn how to swim there. Even though I am not so much into swimming, there is excitement in me!

When I went to the Hougang swimming pool, I was amazed with its size. It was huge and many students were taking their lessons. There were sheds that surrounded the pool. I can leave my things on the table and seats under them. I decided to go with a friend to be more comfortable. Since she is better in swimming than me, she can also guide me. I savor her presence while I learn how to swim.

Taking Hougang swimming lessons in the pool has many benefits for my body. As I learn, I also give my body its dose of regular exercise. All of my body muscles are stretched. Being in the swimming pool for 30 minutes has the equivalent of land activity worth 45 minutes. I expect that my general well-being combined with a healthy diet can improve. Also, I can think more positively after exercise. Swimming with my friend is also more fun!

It is a great way to relieve my body of stress. Instead of screaming at the stresses of life, putting my energy into swimming is better. My stress, depression, and anxiety are decreased. Also, sleeping has been more peaceful and sound. A light swim does wonders for my body. When I stay in the water after a while, I feel lighter and warmer. Calories in my body are burned. This is equivalent to more than 200 calories in 30 minutes.

I enjoy being in the Hougang swimming pool. During my lesson, I am relaxed in looking at the sky. The sight of the clouds is better than the buildings that surround me. For at least 30 minutes, I feel light-headed. This form of cardiovascular exercise decreases my chance of having a heart condition. In my youth, I am glad that I am far away from this kind of sickness. I want to maintain the good health of my heart.

To my knowledge, my weight constitutes 90% water. Having a body injury is attractive for swimming. It can heal the pain in a quicker duration. Being physically active with swimming is a great way to unwind. I can raise my level of energy through this water sport. My metabolism goes up after exercise. For this sport, I will not have the presence of sweat on my body. Perspiration will not make me uncomfortable.

I am glad to learn swimming lessons in Hougang. With guided practice, I am more confident of staying in the water. I owe a lot to my coach who encouraged me to go out of my comfort zone.
